Year three

Year 3, have had a very busy History session in Forest School. Today they have been demonstrating and learning new skills about the Stone Age. We looked at lots of artefacts such as real animal skins, real animal bones and we looked closely at the different types of crops grown in the Neolithic period. We compared all three stages and discuss how they changed over that long period.
We have been busy making clay picture stands as part of our enterprise project for the Christmas Market. One class went down the clay bug route whilst the other class chose to make faces. It’s so lovely to see how creative they can be!
Autumn 2, the children loved making nature me’s. They used clay as the base for their face. They were then encouraged to look around forest school for natures treasures to use. We talked about our feelings and how that would represent on our model.
