At Appletree Gardens First School we are proud to offer a welcoming and supportive environment where every child can grow, learn and achieve their best. Our school grounds are surrounded by beautiful cherry blossom trees. A reminder each spring of the fresh start and growth that new learning brings.
We have outlined below how to apply for places in our Nursery, Reception and throughout the school year.
Consultation Admission Arrangements for 2027/2028
Appletree Gardens First School wish to inform you of a statutory consultation on admissions arrangements for the 2027/28 academic year. There are no changes to the arrangements only some wording within the oversubscription criteria in accordance with a recent OSA report. Despite there being no significant change, consultations are required to take place every seven years and the last consultation took place in 2019. Consequently, a consultation is taking place.
Please find a copy proposed policy for admissions from September 2027 on the school website under key information in admissions. There are minor amendments to the wording of the admissions policy which are designed to make it clearer. These have been highlighted in yellow to help stakeholders to see where these small changes are being made.
If you would like to submit your opinion on the admission policy, please email info@appletreegfs.org.uk or write to the Clerk, Jacqui Sugden, at Appletree Gardens First School. The consultation will run until 28th January 2026.
